CARE
The best at home care for the viscose material is cold wash on gentle/delicate. In addition, mild detergents are best to use.
Then, hang dry. It is highly recommended to avoid machine drying.
Finally, your shirt will more than likely need to be ironed after. Sometimes the viscose material can appear to shrink a little after washing. Thorough ironing on a steam setting should flatten the viscose material back out and return it back to its original shape.
Dry cleaning is always welcomed :)
The viscose material is a great light-weight and breathable material. However, it can tighten up after getting wet, which will make it appear to have shrunk. Thorough ironing on a steam setting should flatten the material back out, and return it to its original shape and structure.
RETURN POLICY
Before purchasing, please review the sizing for each shirt on the individual shirt pages. This information is within the Material Details on each of the different shirt pages. Please make sure to hold on to the shirt tag, as we will need this back for the exchange.
If you've already purchased a shirt and it does not fit - please review the sizing on the individual shirt page to determine which size would fit best. Then, please email us requesting an exchange. We will then send you an return label to use to mail the shirt back to us.
Once we receive the shirt, we will do a quick quality check on the shirt and check for the tag. If the shirt and tag are still in original quality, we will mail you the new shirt. Please let us know if any questions come up about this policy.
Please thoroughly consider your purchase before making it.We are a small family business and every additional expense makes an impact. We also understand that as thoughtful as your purchase might be, there are always unforeseen circumstances. In those cases, we would be happy to send you a shipping label and refund your money for the shirt once the shirt is received back to us and passes a quick quality check. Please make sure to include the tag with the shirt if you do return it. Thank you :)
Women and Children
It is our goal to one day start making women's and children's clothing. At the moment, we are a small family business, and only have the ability to make one style of clothing. If you are interested in women's and/or children's clothing, please let us know and we can keep you on a list to notify when we are able to start making them.
Tell me about the fabric & shirts
Our shirts are made of 100% Viscose, which is a fabric made from bamboo. It is lightweight and breathable, making it an excellent material for Florida's climate.
Viscose is considered a semi-natural fabric. Viscose is made from cellulose, which comes from plants. Our fabric is made from bamboo cellulose. The cellulose does then go through a process to be turned into viscose, but the material comes from natural sources.
All products are on a sustainability spectrum of best to worst, and there are many factors to consider when selecting a fabric to use in clothing. Viscose is made from bamboo and is considered much more sustainable compared to other fabrics like polyester or spandex. However, it is not the best on the spectrum, like organic linen or organic cotton. Our primary goal when selecting a fabric was to make sure it was lightweight, breathable, not too expensive, higher on the sustainability spectrum, wrinkle resistant, and made from natural sources.
I know this is an important topic for many, so I've tried explaining our reasoning the best I can below. When we started, in 2020, I initially tried working with a few cut & sew manufacturers here in the US. At the time, I wanted to see if we could make our shirts here and keep everything within our economy. However, after a few years, and a few patterns, it was clear that our goals could not be realized working with the very few textile factories we still have here in the states. The cost, consistency, and quality were not aligning with what we had hoped. It was mainly the quality and consistency, but also to be sustainable economically, we would have had to sell our shirts for around $150, if we continued to make them here. Our shirts are now made in Shenzhen, China, just north of Hong Kong. We have very strict guidelines for our manufacturing to make sure the quality and consistency of every shirt is made the same, and have had very positive results with our current factory. Hopefully, things will change in the future and we will be able to bring the textile manufacturing back within our borders. I am also open to suggestions, so please if you have any feedback send me a message through our Contact page. Thank you! Sincerely, John
